New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold is participating in QB drills at practice on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a foot injury in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins, according to Brian Costello of the New York Post.

The rookie missed the Jets' past two games, giving way to veteran Josh McCown for consecutive losses to the AFC East-rival Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots by a combined score of 68-23.

The No. 3 pick in April's draft completed 21 of 39 pass attempts for 229 yards and four interceptions against Miami.

Darnold leads the league with 14 interceptions despite the missed time. He's completed just 55 percent of his pass attempts for 1,934 yards and 11 touchdowns.
