Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel expects quarterback Marcus Mariota to start on Monday night against the Houston Texans, according to Titans insider Jim Wyatt.

Mariota fully participated in Friday's practice after suffering a stinger during Tennessee's Week 11 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.

Earlier in the week, Vrabel denied reports that his starting signal-caller reinjured his elbow. He was hopeful Mariota could return for Monday Night Football.

The former No. 2 overall pick was dealing with discomfort related to a pinched nerve over the first portion of the 2018 campaign.

Mariota has completed 68 percent of his passes for 1,583 yards, seven touchdowns, and six interceptions over eight starts this season.
