Detroit Lions running back Kerryon Johnson and wide receiver Marvin Jones will miss Thursday's game against the Chicago Bears because of knee injuries, the team announced.

Johnson, the Lions' ascending rookie, is nursing a sprain he suffered in Sunday's win over the Carolina Panthers. He's averaged 5.4 yards per carry while rushing for 641 yards and three touchdowns through 10 games.

Jones, meanwhile, is believed to be dealing with a bone bruise. He reportedly sought a second opinion on the injury last week and missed the Panthers game.

The Lions enter Thanksgiving at the bottom of the NFC North standings at 4-6. A win would thrust them back into the playoff conversation.
