New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is reportedly not expected to play against the Tennessee Titans, a source told the Boston Herald's Kevin Duffy.

Gronkowski was listed as questionable throughout the week with back and ankle injuries. He was also sidelined during the Pats' 31-17 win over the Green Bay Packers in Week 9.

New England has a bye next week, leading to a possible Week 12 return for Gronk against the New York Jets.

With a 7-2 record, the Patriots may be taking precautions to ensure their star tight end is healthy down the stretch.

"It’s been more challenging, just with the obstacles in the way," said Gronkowski of his 2018 season. "But it’s life. You’ve got to take them on, and that’s what I’m doing. Just got to get back to where I need to be and just be myself when I get back. It’ll all be good."

In his seven starts this season, Gronkowski has 29 receptions, 448 yards, and one touchdown.
