San Francisco 49ers quarterback Nick Mullens is set to get another taste of primetime after beating the Oakland Raiders in his NFL debut last Thursday night.

Mullens said Tuesday that head coach Kylen Shanahan told him he'll start against the New York Giants on Monday Night Football, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic.

Mullens led the 49ers to a 34-3 rout of the Raiders in Week 9. The former undrafted free agent completed 16 of 22 pass attempts for 262 passing yards and three touchdowns without an interception.

The 23-year-old was announced as the starter shortly before game time with C.J. Beathard ruled out due to a wrist injury.

Beathard had completed 60.4 percent of his attempts with eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in six games this season after replacing Jimmy Garoppolo as the starter in Week 4.
