It appears Nick Mullens did enough in his Thursday Night Football debut to get a prolonged look at the helm of the San Francisco 49ers' offense.

Head coach Kyle Shanahan isn't expected to make an announcement until he gets the opportunity to speak to his players early next week, but it would be a major surprise if Mullens isn't named the starter for Week 10 and beyond, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mullens, 23, completed 16 of 22 passing attempts for 262 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions in his first NFL start against the Oakland Raiders.

He led the 49ers to their first victory since Week 2 while replacing the injured C.J. Beathard, who had been filling in for Jimmy Garoppolo after he suffered a torn ACL in Week 3.

The 49ers will play host to the New York Giants on Monday night of Week 10.
