Eagles' Super Bowl win leads to baby boom in Philadelphia

A Super Bowl baby boom has hit Philadelphia.

Nearly nine months after the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, nurses in the baby unit at one Philadelphia hospital have been told to "expect a surge of deliveries," according to CBS Philly.

Ali Gorman of ABC 6 Action News also spoke to one Eagles fan who admitted that had the team lost the Super Bowl, his daughter probably wouldn't have been conceived.

A commercial released by the NFL in 2016 seems to support the Super Bowl baby boom theory. The spot, which aired during Super Bowl 50, featured children and adults who were born nine months after their parents' favorite team won the big game.
