The Chicago Bears' offensive line suffered a big blow Tuesday, as guard Kyle Long will miss the next six-to-eight weeks with a foot injury, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Long suffered the injury late in the fourth quarter of Chicago's Week 8 victory over the New York Jets and had to be carted off the field.

The veteran lineman has battled various ailments in each of the last three seasons, missing time with shoulder, triceps, finger, and ankle injuries.

Long, a three-time Pro Bowler, is currently gathering more information regarding the length of his absence, per Rapoport.

Bryan Witzmann filled in after Long's injury, and figures to start at right guard moving forward.
