Cowboys' Lee to return vs. Redskins: 'I'm glad to be back'

Tim Heitman-US PRESSWIRE

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee will play Sunday after missing three weeks with a hamstring injury, according to Dallas Morning News' David Moore.

"Being out has always been tough on me," Lee said. "I've never liked it. I'm glad to be back."

The linebacker suffered the hamstring ailment in Week 3's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

In his nine seasons, Lee has missed 45 games. In the five games Lee missed last year, the Cowboys went 1-4.

"I need to play. I haven't played a lot this year," the 32-year-old said. "I need to get out there and get snaps and continue to improve and hopefully help this defense."

With the Cowboys a game away from their bye week, it was thought Lee would sit until Week 9.

"If you're ready, if you're 100 percent, you play," he said. "I've missed a lot of time already, so I'm trying not to miss much more."

The two-time Pro Bowler has 20 combined tackles and half a sack in his three starts this season.
