The south Florida heat took its toll on the Chicago Bears during their 31-28 overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, particularly offensive tackle Bobby Massie.

Massie told Patrick Finley of the Chicago Sun-Times on Tuesday that he lost 12 pounds during the game.

"I'm a heavy sweater," said Massie, who's listed at 317 pounds.

It was 89 degrees at kickoff, but the humidity pushed the heat index to over 100. The Bears was also played in the sun for the entire game.

"(The Dolphins) got shade the whole game," said Bears head coach Matt Nagy, according to the Sun-Times' Adam L. Jahns. "We created some man-made shade for the guys, and they were asking for it. It was hot."
