Gronkowski exited Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins and did not return.
Tuesday's practice was only a walkthrough, but the tight end has just two days to recover, as the Patriots face off against the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football.
Gronkowski's ankle injury was not thought to be serious following Sunday's game, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He'll remain questionable for Thursday's contest.
