Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen will be sidelined Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts because of an elbow injury and the rookie could miss additional games, sources told Dianna Russini of ESPN.

Allen was deemed week to week on Monday, a day after he was forced out of the Bills' loss to the Houston Texans. He is believed to be suffering from an ulnar collateral ligament injury in his throwing elbow.

The No. 7 pick in the 2018 draft has thrown for 832 yards with two touchdowns and five interceptions in six outings this season. He's only managed to complete 54 percent of his passes, though Buffalo hasn't exactly equipped him with a great supporting cast.

It remains to be seen whether the Bills will turn once again to interception-prone Nathan Peterman in Allen's place, or if they'll go with veteran Derek Anderson, who signed with the club one week ago.

The Bills will take a 2-4 record into Indianapolis.
