Retired NFL cornerback DeAngelo Hall has Paris Hilton to thank for getting him out of covering a $15,000 tab as a rookie.

As Hall explained on "Simms & Lefkoe: The Show," his Atlanta Falcons teammates felt he "had money to burn" as the No. 8 pick of the 2004 NFL Draft and had him treat them to a night out in Las Vegas.

"One night we pick a club - you know, it's DB night, I'm the rookie, I gotta pay for everything - and I was kind of looking at the bottles that we were anticipating on buying and I'm looking like, 'I ain't know that bottle cost that much,'" Hall said. "I was kind of doing that, but as the night wore on, it was bigger than that.

"On one side of our table is Paris Hilton and her crew of lovely ladies. On the other side is David Hasselhoff and his crew of lovely ladies as well."

Hall and his teammates spent time at both celebrities' tables, and at the end of the night, he was handed a bill for around $15,000.

"Before I could even put my card down, Paris had took my bill and paid my tab," Hall said.

Hall added that he wishes he could meet Hilton and thank her for the gesture.
