The Baltimore Police Department announced that Baltimore Ravens kicker Kaare Vedvik suffered injuries in an incident on Saturday.
The police were called to an area in east Baltimore by the local fire department and located Vedvik. He was then taken to the hospital.
"Kaare Vedvik has sustained head injuries and we are monitoring the situation," the Ravens said in a statement.
Police said the injuries aren't life-threatening, though the department isn't able to confirm how they occurred.
Saturday was the deadline for NFL teams to submit their final 53-man rosters. The Ravens placed Vedvik, a Norwegian rookie punter and kicker, on injured reserve.
