Buffalo Bills wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin maintained he wasn't concerned with whatever Cam Newton had to say when the Carolina Panthers quarterback confronted him before Thursday's preseason game.

"Just moving on from it," Benjamin kept repeating when pressed by reporters about what was said in the exchange, per Panthers insider Max Henson.

Benjamin verbally dismantled his former teammate in an interview last week, questioning the one-time MVP's intellectual abilities and accuracy as a passer. Newton met him on the field pregame, getting into the receiver's face and following Benjamin when he tried to walk off.

"I wasn't even trying to listen," a dismissive Benjamin said of the altercation.

Carolina traded Benjamin to Buffalo last season. He caught four passes for 59 yards and a touchdown in the preseason opener, while Newton completed 6 of 9 passes for 84 yards for the Panthers.

Newton did not speak to the media postgame.
