Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald is not expected to attend the start of mandatory minicamp Tuesday, reports the L.A. Times' Gary Klein.

Donald skipped organized team activities in May as he seeks a contract extension from the Rams. He joins Julio Jones, Earl Thomas, and Khalil Mack as high-profile players across the NFL set to miss their minicamps.

A first-round pick in 2014, the All-Pro is set to earn $6.89 million in 2018 on the last year of his rookie deal, but could become one of - if not the - highest-paid defenders in the league if an extension is finalized.

Donald also skipped mandatory minicamp last year, holding out during the preseason before rejoining the Rams prior to the 2017 regular season. He didn't play in Week 1 due to his lengthy absence, but still won Defensive Player of the Year.
