Rosen responds to Browns exec being 'bothered' by chance meeting
Earlier in the week, it was revealed that Cleveland Browns executive Alonzo Highsmith was turned off of Josh Rosen before the NFL draft due to a chance meeting with the UCLA women's volleyball team.
The Browns vice president of player personnel asked the coach what Rosen was like, and after being directed to speak to Rosen's girlfriend on the team, Highsmith declined and walked away thinking "there was something about him that bothered me."
Rosen addressed the issue on Friday during an appearance on the Rich Eisen Show, and was surprised that such a random meeting would present him in a negative light.
"I thought it was interesting he didn't talk to my girlfriend. I mean, maybe he was scared of someone actually saying something good about me? I don't know, I just thought it was funny," Rosen said. "It's amazing that you can pull a red flag from something with literally zero information."
The Browns eventually took Baker Mayfield with the No. 1 overall pick while Rosen slid to the Arizona Cardinals at No. 10.
Sadly, Rosen will have to wait to get his revenge on the field as the Cardinals and Browns are not slated to meet this season.
