Emmy-nominated broadcaster Tony Romo understands the difficulty Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten is having in deciding whether to continue his NFL career.
The 15-year veteran, who remains in relatively good health, has a reported offer to join ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcast, but still wants to achieve his career goal of winning a Super Bowl.
"That's something that's hard. I don't think you ever really - that's never something you're OK with," Romo said, according to Drew Davison of the Star-Telegram. "I just think you have to make choices with where you're at in life and what's going on around you. Your family at your side, they're a big part of those decisions that you make. I think that you could chase that thing forever and it might be the next year, but it might be 10 years away. It's a tough decision."

Injuries pushed Romo out of the league and into an analyst role with CBS, where he excelled in his first year.
He says Witten's experience and dedication would make him a tremendous asset both as a broadcaster and in his 16th season with the Cowboys.
"Jason's going to do well," Romo said. "He's as hard-working a guy as you're going to find. He'll be well-prepared for whatever environment he decides to be a part of next year."
