Tony Romo nominated for sports broadcasting Emmy

Tony Romo is being lauded for his first season as a football broadcaster.
After his first year working side-by-side with Jim Nantz for the NFL on CBS, Romo has been nominated for an Emmy for "Outstanding Sports Personality - Sports Event Analyst."
Romo is joined in that category by Jon Gruden, formerly of ESPN's "Monday Night Football" coverage, ESPN college analyst Kirk Herbstreit, FOX baseball analyst John Smoltz, and CBS college analyst Gary Danielson.
Football fans responded favorably to Romo's enthusiastic approach and penchant for predicting the upcoming play.
