The Minnesota Vikings announced Monday they signed linebacker Eric Kendricks to a contract extension.

It's a five-year deal worth $50 million, including $25 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The deal would make Kendricks the NFL's fourth-highest-paid linebacker in terms of average annual value at $10 million per season.

A second-round pick in 2015, Kendricks led the Vikings in tackles in each of his first three seasons while accumulating 7.5 sacks and two interceptions in 41 career starts.
