Washington Redskins head coach Jay Gruden ruled out the possibility of the team trading safety Su'a Cravens on Thursday.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the Redskins were in trade discussions with the Denver Broncos involving Cravens.
"We're not trading him," Gruden said, according to Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post. "I just saw that on the ticker. He's still a member of this football team and we have every intention of seeing where he's at. I'll have to talk to him and see where he's at mentally. Physically, I know he's going to be in great shape."
Cravens was reinstated by the NFL from the reserve/left squad list in February. The safety missed the entire 2017 season due to numerous injuries and considered retiring.
Washington selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of USC. He recorded 24 tackles, a sack, an interception, and five pass deflections in 11 games during the 2016 season.
