The Indianapolis Colts have requested to interview New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels and Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks for their head coaching vacancy, sources told Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Kansas City Chiefs special teams coach Dave Toub and offensive coordinator Matt Nagy are also expected to interview for the job, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Colts fired Chuck Pagano Monday after six seasons at the helm.

The Patriots' offense led the league in yards per game and were second in points per game under McDaniels in 2017, while the Panthers finished seventh in total defense and third against the run under Wilks' tutelage.

Toub has cultivated a reputation as one of the league's top special teams coordinators, spending nine years with the Chicago Bears before joining the Chiefs in 2013.

Nagy has spent the last two seasons in charge of the Chiefs' offense. Head coach Andy Reid handed over play-calling duties to Nagy on Dec. 3 in an attempt to kickstart the unit, and K.C. won four of its next five games to seal the AFC West crown.
