Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers is not expected to return for the 2018 season, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Capers has served as the Packers' defensive coordinator since January 2009, helping the team win Super Bowl XLV in 2010.

The 67-year-old has previously served as the head coach of the Carolina Panthers (1995-98) and Houston Texans (2002-05), posting a cumulative 48-80 record.

Green Bay has allowed 23.3 points per game in 2017, the 21st-best total in the league as the club will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
