Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Dirk Koetter appears to be on the hot seat, but he's uncertain of his future as the 2017 regular season comes to an end.
The Buccaneers struggled throughout the year and are stuck in the NFC South basement at 4-11, while all three of their divisional rivals may end up in the postseason.
While speculation continues to run rampant about Koetter's job security, the head coach said he hasn't spoken to the Bucs ownership about his role with the team.
"I do not have discussions with them about that, no," Koetter said via Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams.
However, Koetter admitted he's not immune to the conversation surrounding him.
"Of course, I mean, it’s your life. It’s your life," Koetter said. "It's what you do. Just flip it around. Of course it is, but we all — players and coaches — we’re paid to do a job, and you try to do it to the best of your ability. That’s all you can do."
The Buccaneers are scheduled to finish their season against the New Orleans Saints on Dec. 31.
