Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown is not expected to be fit for the wild-card round of the playoffs, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Brown partially tore the calf muscle in his leg during last Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots and has been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Houston Texans.
The Steelers have already won their division and currently sit second in the AFC standings. They can sew up a first-round bye with a win or tie against the Texans and a loss by the Jacksonville Jaguars, who currently hold the third seed in the conference.
If the Steelers fall out of the top two, they'd have to host a wild-card game on the first weekend of the playoffs and would likely have to do so without Brown.
Brown thrust himself into the MVP conversation by leading the league in receiving with 1,533 yards as well as collecting nine touchdowns and several highlight-reel grabs throughout the season.
