The Oakland Raiders are confident of hiring Jon Gruden as their new head coach following the dismissal of Jack Del Rio Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Gruden is still set to broadcast a playoff game for ESPN this weekend, according to Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk.

The Raiders will reportedly offer Gruden a package that includes an ownership stake to convince him to leave the booth.

Gruden coached the Raiders from 1998-2001. He was then traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won Super Bowl XXXVII in his first year, besting his former team.
