Matthew Stafford is progressing, but there's no guarantee the Detroit Lions quarterback will be ready to play Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as he recovers from a hand injury.
"We'll see," head coach Jim Caldwell said Friday of his star pivot's status for the game, according to Tim Twentyman of Detroitlions.com.
Stafford suffered the injury in last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens, and while X-rays came back negative, he's been limited in practice all week.
The Lions listed Stafford as questionable Friday.
At 6-6 and two games behind the Atlanta Falcons for the final wild-card spot - Atlanta also owns the head-to-head tiebreaker - Detroit can ill-afford to pick up a third straight loss.
