2018 NFL Mock Draft - 3rd-quarter edition: Picks 11-20
Every month for the remainder of the 2017 season, theScore's Dane Belbeck and Mitch Sanderson will project the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft using the current standings to predict the order. Strength of schedule will be used as the first tiebreaker and theScore's weekly power rankings will be used as the second.
11. Los Angeles Chargers - Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
Mayfield has major star power, but he could use some professional tutelage before he starts in the big leagues. The Chargers are going to need someone to replace Philip Rivers soon and they need someone to help solve their popularity issue in Los Angeles. It just makes sense. - Sanderson
12. Cincinnati Bengals - Ronnie Harrison, S, Alabama
While safety may not be the biggest need on the board for the Bengals, teams are going to fall in love with Harrison on film and jump at the opportunity to grab him. The Alabama thumper is a rangy safety that is perfect for today's NFL. The Bengals will opt for best available talent and select the Crimson Tide standout 12th overall. - Belbeck
13. Arizona Cardinals - Harold Landry, EDGE, Boston College
The Cardinals have been adding athletic, versatile pieces to their defense through the draft the last few seasons. While a quarterback may be needed, Bruce Arians has a dislike for relying on rookies, so a later-round passer he can sit for a year or two is more likely. Landry is also very good and hunting quarterbacks. - Sanderson
14. Oakland Raiders - Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia
Despite picking up Navorro Bowman midseason, the Raiders desperately need some depth at the linebacker position and Smith fills that perfectly. The Georgia star has been phenomenal this year for the Bulldogs, and flies around the field racking up tackles. That is desperately needed in Jack Del Rio's defense. - Belbeck
15. Dallas Cowboys - Arden Key, DE, LSU
Key has been a big name on draft boards all season. Jerry Jones loves to grab the big-name pieces at the draft and has drawn from the LSU talent pool several times in the past. Key and Demarcus Lawrence together could let Dallas cross pass-rushers off their needs list. - Sanderson
16. Washington Redskins - Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma
Washington's offensive line has been ravaged by injuries this season, and the club will opt for depth at the position with Oklahoma's Brown. The standout tackle has been the anchor for arguably the nation's best offense this season, and will immediately improve Washington's rushing attack in year one. - Belbeck
17. Green Bay Packers - Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa
The Packers need one more quality cornerback to let Damarious Randall slide back into the slot and lock in their starting secondary for the next few seasons. Jackson is a ball hawk with experience playing in cold weather who fits the bill. - Sanderson
18. Buffalo Bills - Trey Adams, OT, Washington
Sean McDermott clearly wants a run-based attack in Buffalo, and adding Adams to the offensive line will certainly help that idea. The star tackle was lost for the year midseason by Washington but should be fully healed in time for the draft. - Belbeck
19. Detroit Lions - Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
Marvin Jones, Golden Tate, and Kenny Golladay form a solid set of targets for Matt Stafford in the Lions' offense. Now it's time to add that star running back. - Sanderson
20. Seattle Seahawks - Mitch Hyatt, OT, Clemson
It's no secret that the Seahawks' offensive line has been terrible in recent years with Russell Wilson's incredible scrambling ability the only thing keeping them afloat. The club addresses that issue with one of the most solid players in the draft, Mitch Hyatt. - Belbeck
