Green, Ramsey sound off after ejections

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green and Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey sounded off following their ejections from Sunday's game.

Ramsey shoved Green to the ground, and the Bengals' star wasn't pleased, choking the Jaguars' defensive back, before engaging in a wrestling match.

After the game, both parties tried to further explain their prerogative.

"I've got to control my emotions better and not hurt my team," Green said postgame to Lance McAlister of 700 WLW Cincinnati.

Green said he could cut block Ramsey on every play if he wanted to be "a real A-hole" and said he wouldn't back down from a challenge. However, Green also apologized to Bengals owner Mike Brown and his teammates.

"I apologize to my teammates, Mr. Brown, and everybody, because that is not who I am. It just got the best of me today."

Ramsey was less contrite for his role in the fight.

"He was mad because I was locking him up," Ramsey said.

Green was held to one catch for six yards prior to being ejected.

"He's an old man acting like that," Ramsey added.

It appears that a rivalry between one of the NFL's established wide receivers and best young cornerbacks is brewing, and the next Bengals-Jaguars matchup should provide plenty of fireworks.
