Here's hoping the AFC East squads in this week's Thursday Night Football contest put up a better fight than the one in last week's game, as the Miami Dolphins were blown off the field 40-0 by the Baltimore Ravens.
The Buffalo Bills look to continue their winning ways when they head south to face the New York Jets in a rematch of their Week 1 game that saw the Bills emerge with the 21-12 win.
The Jets have lost three in a row, while Buffalo has won four of its last five games, so this one should be a no-brainer, right?
Not so fast.
The wager: Buffalo Bills at New York Jets (+3.5)
The Bills and Jets played a fairly even contest in Week 1 with a Mike Tolbert touchdown in the fourth quarter providing the nine-point win for Buffalo. It was by far the worst game of the season for quarterback Josh McCown, and the veteran pivot has actually been a pleasant surprise for the Jets since.
Buffalo thrives off turnovers and have forced at least three in each of the last four games. That's an astonishing stat and one that is going to be very difficult to maintain. The Bills lack of offense needs the turnovers to be successful but the Jets have only lost the ball three times in a game once this season.
Look for a very tight contest on Thursday with field goals deciding the outcome. Buffalo gets a close road win but the Jets keep it within the number. Bills 21, Jets 20
Thursday picks record: 6-2
