Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron is being sought by several teams with positional needs, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Teams have been calling the Lions asking about acquiring the fourth-year tight end, who's under contract for 2018 at roughly $8.25 million, after the Lions picked up his fifth-year option in May.

Drafted 10th overall by former Lions general manager Martin Mayhew in 2014, Ebron has caught 146 of 230 career targets for 1,598 total yards and eight touchdowns.

He has caught 13 of 26 targets for 102 yards and one touchdown through six games in 2017, but his 7.8 yards per reception is a career low.
