In Derrick Henry, the Tennessee Titans have one of the league's most punishing running backs, capable of taking over games and crushing the will of defenses.
One problem: In the past two games, both of which the Titans lost, Henry has just 10 carries, including a four-touch outing last week against the Miami Dolphins.
While Henry remains the backup to DeMarco Murray, Tennessee knows it needs to get one of their most explosive weapons more chances to make an impact.
"You sit down and look at your sheet and you say, 'Wow. He had four touches,'" offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie said Thursday, according to Jason Wolfe of the Tennessean.
"You've just got to find a way to put the ball in his hands. I don't know where those touches are going to come from, but they're going to come from somewhere, we hope. We're going to find a way to put the ball in his hands a couple more times."
In fairness, the Titans were without Marcus Mariota in Week 5, and the blowout loss to the Houston Texans in Week 4 forced Tennessee away from its rushing attack.
Still, Henry emphasized his talents in Week 2's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars by rushing for 92 yards and a touchdown on just 14 carries while Murray dealt with a hamstring injury.
If the 2-3 Titans are to save their season, they'd be smart to fulfill their promise to get Henry more work, starting in Monday's key divisional game versus the Indianapolis Colts.
