Report: Carr's back injury has improved, could play Week 6 vs. Chargers

Derek Carr appears to be on track to return next week.
The Oakland Raiders quarterback was expected to miss two-to-six weeks with a transverse process fracture in his back and, according to Stephania Bell and Adam Schefter of ESPN, Carr is trending on the shorter end of that spectrum as his injury has improved to the point that he could play in Week 6 versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
Carr was injured in a Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos and replaced by EJ Manuel, who will draw the start in Week 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.
