Browns will have Garrett on 'pitch count' in debut
Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson doesn't plan on overworking defensive end Myles Garrett in the No. 1 pick's NFL debut this Sunday against the New York Jets.
"I'm sure we'll have him on a pitch count," Jackson said, according to Pat McManamon of ESPN. "Again, he's just now getting back to practice a week ago. He's put together a week-and-a-half of practice. But still he's been off for quite a while too, so I think we got to be smart about our expectations of him this weekend."
The Browns, who've started 0-4, can certainly use Garrett's help on defense, as they rank 25th in passing yards allowed and 29th in points allowed through four weeks.
"This is our fifth game of the year. We're just going to be excited to have him out there. And we'll see what kind of impact he can make in this football game," said Jackson.
