Smith is putting his skeptics to rest during Thursday's opener against the New England Patriots, finding rookie running back Kareem Hunt for a 78-yard score to give the Kansas City Chiefs a 28-27 lead.
Early in the fourth quarter, Smith is out-dueling his counterpart Tom Brady as the Chiefs try to fend off the defending champs.
