The Philadelphia Eagles are parting ways with fan-favorite long snapper Jon Dorenbos, who doubles as a part-time magician, trading him to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for a 2019 seventh-round pick.

Dorenbos had been with the Eagles since 2006 and gained notoriety during the summer of 2016 as he competed in "America's Got Talent" as a magician. He finished third on the reality show.

Eagles head coach Doug Pederson, vice president of football operations Howie Roseman, and owner Jeffrey Lurie all released statements thanking Dorenbos for his time with the team.

"This was one of the most difficult decisions we have had to make as an organization, not only because of his stellar performance on the field for so many years, but also because of the relationships he has within the organization and the connection he has with our fans and the Philadelphia community," said Roseman.

The Saints already have Justin Drescher, their long snapper since 2010, on the roster, but he has yet to show any magical skills.
