A tumultuous few weeks for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead now includes charges for shoplifting and failure to appear in court.

Whitehead was busted for shoplifting under $200 in Virginia on June 2, according to TMZ Sports, and had a warrant issued for his arrest when he failed to appear in court on July 6.

Asked at Cowboys camp Monday about the charges, Whitehead suggested it was news to him.

"I didn't even know about that. I don't know what's going on," Whitehead told reporters, according to Brandon George of The Dallas Morning News.

The shoplifting incident preceded a bizarre series of events for Whitehead, who just last week claimed his dog was kidnapped, held for ransom, and then returned.

Whitehead is probably a longshot to make the Cowboys' roster. This warrant for his arrest surely won't help.
