Cam Newton is throwing again for the first time since undergoing shoulder surgery in March, a very promising sign he will be ready for training camp.

Newton's first tosses were meant to ease him back into things. He merely threw the ball inside the locker room to the Carolina Panthers' head athletic trainer.

But, because almost everything about Newton is larger than life, he made the throws in front of several cameras and the footage was edited into a hype video.

"Cool," Newton told the Panthers' website of how it felt to throw for the first time in nearly half a year, "a lot of anticipation. Obviously, it's still not 100 percent, but seeing the ball come out of my hand in a throwing motion was good."
