Gareon Conley was on the practice field for the first time in his NFL career Friday, taking part in the Oakland Raiders' rookie minicamp as police continue to look into rape allegations brought against him.

The first-round pick addressed the ongoing investigation in an interview with NFL Network's Steve Wyche, saying that a recent meeting with police went well, and adding that the session was a step toward proving his innocence.

"I don't know where things stand, but I know the meeting went well," Conley said. "And it's just another way to prove my innocence - a step further. But they haven't said anything about where I stand right now."

Conley was also asked about his situation when speaking to the media in his post-practice availability.

"It's tough to think about it and all, but I try not to think about, just try to worry about what I'm doing out here right now ... football is like a stress-reliever for me," he said.

Conley has denied allegations that he raped a woman in a Cleveland hotel on April 9.

His agent told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport that he provided a DNA sample and a voluntary statement during Monday's meeting with Cleveland police.

No charges have been filed against Conley.
