Report: Broncos expected to sign Charles pending physical
Free agent Jamaal Charles is meeting with the Broncos on Tuesday, and the running back is expected to sign an incentive-based deal with Denver pending a physical, Troy Renck of Denver7 reports.
Charles' contract will have low guaranteed money, with bonuses based on his playing time, added Renck.
The longtime Kansas City Chiefs veteran struggled with lingering knee issues stemming from a 2015 ACL tear throughout last season and underwent surgery in November.
C.J. Anderson is expected to be the starter in Denver this upcoming season. Charles, given his health concerns, will likely be used as a change-of-pace back along with second-year runner Devontae Booker.

Charles was met with a tepid market upon hitting free agency for the first time in his career, likely due to his extensive injury history.
Opting to remain in the AFC West gives Charles a chance to take down his former team twice a season, beginning with a Week 8 prime-time matchup.
