The San Francisco 49ers have identified wideout Pierre Garcon as a target in free agency, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The 30-year-old, who spent the last five seasons with the Washington Redskins, is familiar with new 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan's offensive system.
Garcon reportedly requested a trade from the Redskins during the 2016 season and is not expected to consider re-signing with the team.
The 49ers are in desperate need of receiver help after cutting Torrey Smith, but they shouldn't have to break the bank to reel in Garcon.
