The New York Jets need a quarterback, but they aren't expected to pursue one of the biggest names likely to be available on the market.

Though the Chicago Bears are widely expected to move on from Jay Cutler, either by trade or release, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports it's unlikely the Jets will target him.

Cimini speculates that Tyrod Taylor (whom the Buffalo Bills could release) and impending free agent Mike Glennon of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are preferred by the Jets.

As Cimini notes, the Jets' recent hiring of Jeremy Bates as quarterbacks coach is likely to lead many to connect Cutler to the team. Bates has coached Cutler for four seasons, three with the Denver Broncos and one with the Bears.
