Police in Oakland are giving credit to Raiders quarterback Derek Carr for helping them locate a missing child.

On Saturday, police requested help finding a missing 3-year-old boy they said had been abducted.

Carr shared the police request on his Twitter account, which has more than a quarter-million followers.

Not long after, police tweeted that the missing child had been found.

Though it's unclear if Carr's retweet truly helped locate the child (the citizen who spotted the vehicle that police were searching for reportedly saw the amber alert and not Carr's tweet), police thanked Carr nonetheless.
