Sherman played through significant MCL injury, has 'regrets' about season
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman played through a significant MCL injury in the second half of the season, head coach Pete Carroll revealed in an interview on 710 ESPN, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
Curiously, the injury never appeared on the Seahawks' injury report, though he did miss some practices for what the Seahawks described as rest reasons.
Carroll said the injury weighed heavily on Sherman's mind.
Sherman battled the media late in the season, at one point saying that it's "a privilege" that he speaks to reporters at all. NFL players are required to be available to the media.
"He has some regrets about this season," Carroll said of his star cornerback, alluding to Sherman's deteriorating relationship with those covering the team.
"He's a good man. He's trying to get everything right.''
