Former San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is no longer ruling out a return to the college coaching ranks.
Since departing Oregon for the Eagles in 2013, Kelly has insisted he hasn't considered a return to the NCAA despite unrelenting rumors to the contrary.
Now, days after being fired by the 49ers after just one season on the job, he isn't limiting his options.
"I evaluate all jobs individually," Kelly told FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman. "I wouldn't rule anything out."
Kelly experienced far more success as a head coach at Oregon than he did in the pros, going 46-7 in four seasons with the Ducks compared to 28-34 in the NFL.
Feldman reports there are multiple college programs considering making a coaching change if it means they could land Kelly.
In the NFL, Kelly's options are almost certainly capped at being an offensive coordinator - and perhaps that's too optimistic.
