Jets' Ryan Fitzpatrick: Deemed day to day
Fitzpatrick (knee) is considered day to day and will only not start Sunday's game against the Rams if he misses "a significant amount" of practice time this week, ESPN's Rich Cimini reports.
Analysis:
Fitzpatrick suffered a sprained MCL during Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, but he was able to play through any discomfort following a brief exit. While it's unclear how involved he'll be in practice this week, coach Todd Bowles says Fitzpatrick remains his starting quarterback if healthy enough. If Fitzpatrick can't suit up, Bryce Petty is expected to lead New York's offense.
