Report: Giants' Flowers shoved reporter after loss
New York Giants left tackle Ereck Flowers' night went from bad to worse after Sunday's loss to the Green Bay Packers ended with an ugly incident of locker-room violence.
Flowers - who surrendered numerous pressures Sunday in a continuation of his sloppy sophomore season - shoved ESPN reporter Jordan Raanan after the game, NJ.com's Dan Duggan reports.
Raanan reportedly approached Flowers in the locker room for questioning, which angered Flowers and prompted the shove.
Duggan has the play-by-play of how it went down:
Flowers: "Hey, get out my face man. Don't come over here."
When Raanan didn't move, Flowers moved his face close to the reporter's and asked, "You hear me?"
Raanan: "I'm just trying to do my job."
Flowers: "Go over there."
Raanan: "I'm just trying to do my job."
Flowers: "Get the (expletive) out of my face, bro.
Raanan: "I'm just trying to do my job."
Flowers then said, "Go over there, man," as he shoved Raanan.
It's understandable that Flowers wouldn't be thrilled with answering questions about his poor performance, but Raanan is correct that it's his job to ask those questions.
