On any given Sunday, anything can happen in the NFL. For that reason, no record is safe - no matter how unbreakable it may seem.
Here are seven seemingly impossible feats that can be accomplished in the NFL this season.
5,477 passing yards
Candidate: Drew Brees, Saints
Passing yards: 686
16-game projection: 5,488
The Saints have surrounded Brees with so many talented pass-catchers that another big season is in store for the signal-caller, even at the age of 37. His schedule sets up favorably from a pass-conditions perspective, as he won't be asked to play a single cold-weather game all season.
2,509 scrimmage yards
Candidate: David Johnson, Cardinals
Scrimmage yards: 275
16-game projection: 2,200
The only thing holding Johnson back is usage - his 275 scrimmage yards have come on just 35 touches. It's only a matter of time before Bruce Arians lets him loose.

1,964 receiving yards
Candidate: Antonio Brown, Steelers
Receiving yards: 165
16-game projection: 1,320
Brown would have had this record a year ago had his quarterback situation not muddied up. There's no better all-around receiver in football.
143 receptions
Candidate: Jarvis Landry, Dolphins
Receptions: 17
16-game projection: 136
The Dolphins are going to find themselves playing from behind a lot this season, and Landry is locked in as Ryan Tannehill's go-to weapon in the passing game.
606 team points scored
Candidate: Steelers
Points: 62
16-game projection: 496
The Steelers' current scoring average of 31 points won't get them within 100 of the record, but we've yet to see this offense play to its full potential. The return of Le'Veon Bell will take them to the next level.
19-0 season
Candidate: Patriots
Record: 2-0
Previous franchise best: 18-1
The Patriots made a strong run at 19-0 once. An extra-motivated Tom Brady will make them a force upon his return, so if they can weather the storm for two more weeks, a perfect season will again be in play.
22.5 sacks
Candidate: Von Miller, Broncos
Sacks: 4.0
16-game projection: 32.0
A contract dispute kept Miller away from the Broncos for part of the offseason, but he hasn't missed a beat in game action. He's looking to prove he's worth the big money the team gave him and knows getting to the quarterback is the way to do it.
