The Pittsburgh Steelers signed guard David DeCastro to a five-year contract extension, the team confirmed Thursday.
Although financial terms were not released by the club, DeCastro's extension is worth $50 million, Dan Graziano of ESPN reports.
The deal, at an average of $10 million per year, makes DeCastro the second-highest paid guard in the league alongside Kyle Long of the Chicago Bears, according to Spotrac.
DeCastro was a first-team All-Pro in 2015 and went to his first Pro Bowl in his fourth season.
A first-round pick in 2012 out of Stanford, DeCastro has become the anchor of the Steelers' offensive line along with center Maurkice Pouncey.
