J.J. Watt petitioned to be named to the U.S. roster ahead of its semifinal clash against Argentina Tuesday at the Copa America Centenario.
Watt sported an autographed U.S. kit ahead of the clash, saying he'd be willing to suit up if needed.
With his country facing reigning FIFA Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi, Watt could've been a decent option as a defensive midfielder.
After Messi scored a phenomenal free kick, Watt paid his respect to the Argentine superstar.
